The Future of SUAS

Updated: Mar 21

I have spent my whole life in aviation. Weather its Cessnas, Aviation University, Flight Instructing, or Flying Airliners. I was inspired by the capabilities of Small Unmanned Aerial Systems (sUAS). As I write this, companies are speeding ahead on drones that far exceed the capabilities that the Goverment allows for safe public operation.

FAR 107 has been established to create a scope of operations for drone pilots. This will help not only aviators but the community and local population in the future. While some people think of the FAA as the police of the sky, it is important to remember that they are responsible for holding the public trust in aviation. Without the FAA, who knows where we would be today.

At Eastern Mountain Aerials (EMA) we believe in using our expertise in aviation to help the rapidly evolving and young drone industry. We want to see commercial drone operations safe, and be good neighbors to or community in the future. If were lucky, some of our services might even make life easier for them.

I would like to use this blog occasionally as an opportunity to share information on the current events and developments in the drone industry. Feel free to create an account if you're an enthusiast, comment, and contribute along. Together we can create more.
